Masai Mara & Nakuru

Day 1

Pick up from Nairobi city hotel and later depart to Masai Mara Game Reserve via the view-point of the western Great Rift Valley. Stop at The Great Rift Valley View Point - short stop for pictures, curios and view of Mount Longonot. Mt. Longonot, used to be active but now is dormant. Have lunch at Narok town. Arrive at Masai Mara. Check in at the lodge/tented camp. Game drive in the afternoon tracking various animal species and birds which inhabit here. Head back to the camp/lodge at after a good game drive. Hot shower, dinner and overnight at the tented camp/lodge..

Day 2

Your day starts with the breakfast at the camp/lodge and by then later leave with picnic lunches for extensive game drive in search of all or at least the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography.

A game drive to Mara river which is point of Migration and point to spot the crocodiles and hippopotamu. Break for your picnic lunch.

Hot shower, dinner and overnight at the tented camp/lodge.

Day 3

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive to track the wildcats as they hunt and kill very early in the morning. Back to the camp/lodge for full breakfast; later proceed to Lake Nakuru with lunch en-route arriving in the afternoon for check-in and your rest. A game drive at Lake Nakuru. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4

After the breakfast you will enjoy the full game drive in Lake Nakuru National park, sightings of flamingos, often referred to as the “Pink Lake”. Other animals that can be sighted in the park including the Rothschild’s Giraffe, Black and White Rhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and several other species of plains game.

After the lunch we will proceed to Nairobi and arrive back in the evening where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Nairobi accommodation or to the airport.

Low season 1st April-30th June

You need a Visa to enter Kenya unless you are from one of these Commonwealth countries; Denmark, Ethiopia, Germany, Spain, Italy, Uruguay and Turkey. You can either get a visa on arrival at the airport or before you travel. But it's advisable that you get it in advance from the Kenyan High Commission or Embassy in your country. Alternatively, you can apply for a single entry transit.

Passport Validity

Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Kenya. Make sure you have two blank pages in your passport on arrival.

Yelow Fever Certificate

You will need a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate if you are 1 year old and above coming from a country with risk of Yellow Fever transmission. You do not need the Yellow Fever vaccination and certificate if you enter Kenya from the UK, Europe or North America. It is recommended by health authorities but is not compulsory.
